I bought it in November 2009, PP, and during its first year it was flooded! I wondered if it would survive but it seems to be doing OK. I am hoping for some blossom this year :)

Fingers crossed for you Gee I do love them, Marie next door has a lovely mature one which over hangs my garden more than hers so we share it;0)

Lets hope your Rowan does well and perhaps produces some berries. The birds love them. The blackbird launches himself off the compost bin to get to the ones on the tips that are the least reachable. He snatches one as he flies by. Such an effort to get one berry!

The bud has opened a bit more, Dorjac, and I'm optimistic for blosson and, hopefully at the end of the year, some berries. It is still a very small tree - I might have to protect it from the birds - I'm not sure it's strong enough to face up to an onslaught of hungry blackbirds :)
