My Spathodea campanulata - African Tulip Tree

My African Tulip tree is blooming and growing very quickly! It's already put on 4ft/1.2m of growth so far this year...I expect at least another foot/31cm or more of growth by years end. Photo taken August 12, 2011.

Seedlings typically pop up under trees. I planted some seeds (which I got from the park) they haven't germinated yet...not sure why.

Thanks! This is another tree which can be difficult to photograph...it's flowers are so very bright red and orange.
