All my red Tigridia flowered July to August as they are supposed to, but this one opened today 31 October.

The red seems to be the most prolific, Dd.

wow, that's a stunner! Well worth the wait. I have been growing some red ones from seed. They are doing ok in spite of the slugs!

I try to take seed each year, but I think this will be too late for seed to ripen.

Ck, it is feet, that damage mine, too close to the stepping stones.
Amy, the red I have had a while. Bought a mixed pkt of corms, couple of years ago, from Homebase, had red, yellow, pink flowered from it. Showed white on the pkt too, but these are very elusive.
Am trying Sparaxis, this year, after seeing in Dottyd's garden.

Maybe I'll put some in a pot that way I could keep an eye on them , I easily lose small plants :o( ...

That is the best way, Amy. I sometime sink an empty 'master pot' into the ground, grow my small bulbs in a smaller pot, then when showing, put that pot into the master pot. When the bulb pot has finished flowering, change it for another different pot of bulbs.

I do that to Sue and then when they've finished flowering I hide the pots behind shrubs in the garden until its their turn again next year ...

Snap Amy, keeps a succession of flowers going in a prime spot. Also leaving an empty pot in the ground, saves digging a hole where there is already dormant stuff growing and damaging it.
