Beautiful one!

thanks Gt...one of nature's beauties. The best lesson I've learned coming here is to stand back and let nature show me what's available! This is a self sown specimen...noticed it's leaves growing beside the stream and watched it develop. It forms lovely clumps and creates a purple haze... yes Jimi! lol.

Thats a stunner Lori..I can just imagine clumps of that on your land..

Hello Tet! How're things?
it's sooo pretty. lovely little dividend that I wasn't expecting.

The only dividend I seem to get from the birds is weeds!
Im fine Lori, fighting hard against depressing weather..keep dreaming we will have a wonderful Sept when we are thinking of going away..of course so will everyone else lol!

Chin up, Tet. I'm doing my rain dance over here...clouds our way..sunshine your way... T. was telling me he heard an old farmer from the area on CBC saying that in all of his 40 years in the occupation he had never seen a year like this one...it is so dry that we are on forest fire alert, all burning is banned, and crops (corn) are not producing cobs..the plants are drying up the fields. It has been weird weather for almost a year now. Hope things turn around for you by Sept. :-)

That is gorgeous Lori..

Im just hoping its not the changing of the poles Lori..dont want to go just yet lol! We are presently dry, but very dark and cloudy and chilly and blowing a gale!

Thanks Lincslass! ...
Aww Tet, the farmers here (and the gardeners, too) would be so happy to exchange weather for a week or so. It is just too much. We were under a tornado watch last week! Had the mother of all storms...some trees uprooted down the lane...and the power went out for 18 hours...or so. got some much needed moisture...but not everyone did. Baffling!

Well "they" reckon the magnetic poles "could" reverse anytime in the next 1500 years, as earth's magnetic field is only half as strong as in Roman times. However, it is not now thought that we will be unprotected against solar winds..so, if we get that far, most folks will live thru it!
But mother nature a bit nissed off with us, somewhere along the line, thats for sure!!!
