Hello GOY Friends,

Not quite sure the best way to do this, but I wanted to tell you all about a photo contest I just read about that’s being held by a website in New York City (Flavorpill.com) for photographers, and I immediately thought of all of you.

Five grand prize winners from around the world will be selected to participate in a photography workshop featuring Ralph Gibson in his New York studio.

I have nothing to do with this, but I thought that possibly someone might be interested, and it looks like it’s on the up and up. (If this is against the rules, then someone please let me know.) But I have seen some beautiful photography here at GOY and thought some of you might like to try your luck. Oh, and these are my pictures, I just thought I’d throw them in there for effect!

“…five winners — one per region; US, UK, Canada, China, and France — will stay at the lovely Le Parker Méridien in Manhattan. And they’ll each win a signed book. And a new camera. And round-trip airfare [to New York City, USA]. Not bad, eh?”

Of course I live next door to the Big Apple, but it still seems like a fun and easy contest to enter.
