A wad of leaves in the downpipe? Could explain the trickle.

I thought that because the rain was horizontal for much of the day it missed your bin completly.....

I had this problem Poppy, after paying £29 for a new water butt with lid. A man told me the washers behind the tap go rotten in 6 months. So it had been standing in the GC and elsewhere and had been sold to me with a rotten washer in. Seems you have to remember to get spare ones and change them. The man wanted it, and offered to swop it for a compost bin, so I did as couldnt stand having to remember the wretched washer change.
