Busy day today.......

Lovely sunny day today, Sharnford rang to see if I wanted to go on a bike ride with her and her husband we had a lovely country ride, birds singing, shorn sheep baaaing and after about 5miles had coffee at a cafe by the canal,a favorite spot.On the way back I stopped on a loooong hill for a breather a man passed me going VERY slowly, when I got to the top my friends and his friends were chatting…..and was saying he is in his 80’s, how fantastic I thought to STILL be able to do that no matter HOW slow……Quick snack and back out to the local “open garden day”feeling a little guilty because my lawns needed mowing and we have had TWO days without rain,and it was forcast for later!!! Saw some lovely mature well kept gardens, the best one Geoff Hamilton had filmed for a cottage garden programe some years ago. Heard tales of that should be out but needs some sun or thats not done so well this year too wet or that had to be cut down…..got home and got all the grass cut it’s now 8.30 and still fine….hope others have had 2 lovely days too and got plenty of gardening done.

Oh that sounds a grand day, no need to feel guilty, we need to have a break from work sometimes, I used to love my bike rides.
Its been a lovely day and I also got my lawns cut, thank goodness...
