can you grow laylandi in large pots

we would like them as a hedge but cant plant them as the area is concrete

I don't think you could - as Neellan says, they grow very fast and the roots must also get large, even though you keep the tops cut. So pots would fill quickly and the trees root-bound and unhealthy.

Sorry no, they need to have their feet in the ground not pots. put up a fence...

Leylandii are one of the fastest growing conifers around and have to be grown in the ground, they can literally 'break out' if pot grown. When growing they take water from every part of the garden and leave it very arid and can kill off all other plants and cut out the light. You would be wiser to erect a fence.

they grow so quickly might be tricky. In our previous house we built a raised bed to plant a hedge but not leylandi they are thugs unless you keep them well trimmed they take over big time!
