Can you Please tell me the name of this plant?

This plant is growing in my next door neighbours garden in North Wales. We have both recently moved in and te properties had ready landscaped gardens. We have watched this plant grow flowers and neither of us knows what it is. I at first thought it was going to be a Bird of Paradise but when the flowers opened they are completely different.

If the wall is as high as it looks,then I think it is a Phormium that has just finished flowering.
My phormium ( about 5-6 ft ) high looks exactly the same

Yep, Phormium, definitely not Crocosmia, and its just coming into flower - they should open up a bit.

I thought Phormium originally but changed my mind because the buds looked a bit red.
Will pay more attention in future!

It looks like Crocosmia (Common name: Montbretia)..
If the flowers are red it'll probably be Crocosmia 'Lucifer' but they come in orange and yellow varieties too.
