why have my runner beans lost their flowers

runner beans have lost their flowers also have holes in the leaves,could this be the cold wind we had up north acouple of nights ago. I dont think is pest damage as they seem clean.looking foreward to your replies....thanx John

probably birds, sometimes we net our beans for a few weeks, i think once you start getting lots of beans appearing the birds loose interest, and the nets can come off.

birds often get at them, i have had bluetits stripping them off before now. is this a posibility?
