Lavender hedge

I planted a lavender hedge in the spring of this year. The plants are now flowering and I am rather disappointed, the flowers are rather wishy washy. The plants were described as Lavandula Augusi smomething or other. Can somebody out there supply me with a name of a good plant that has really good coloured flowers and makes an ideal hedge. Hidcote is now in flower in my garden and is a good deep purple English lavender. I also have Munstead which is pretty but a shade lighter in colour

i had lavendar 'munstead' in the previous house. it was a good lavendar coloured english variety.
