On the other hand you could make elderflower cordial or elderflower wine!

Elderflower tea is nice as well - one flower spray to a jugful. Make it in a cafetiere and its easy to strain.

You aren't likely to use the bark or roots and the berries are tasty so give it a go. I love elderflower cordial but it is quite expensive to buy. I keep meaning to go out and gather flower heads and make some but haven't got round to it so far.

It is a Sambucus or Elderberry. Probably best to remove it completely if it is right at the side of the house as the roots could cause damage.
