Cut back lady's mantle before it sets seed question

Hi, BBC Garden website says for job for the week to "Cut back lady's mantle before it sets seed " What does that mean cut down to ground level ? If not how far do I cut off the top leaves leaving just the stems? In other word help what do I do exactly Thanks M.

Cut ours back to ground level last week, they are sprouting again already.

I just cut off the flowers to stop them setting seed, cutting the stems as far back as I can go. I leave the leaves alone. Hope this helps...
