Cherry Tree

i have a Cherry tree in my garden that i adopted when we moved in 7yrs ago. I cut back the tree at the end of last year as it had grow too high. This year it has failed to blossom or even attempt to do any thing except the odd shoot. Have i killed it or will it ever fruit again. We have always had bags of cherrys on the the birds have loved them every year.

Cherry trees should be pruned in July - by pruning later, you have cut off all the new wood which is what would carry the flowers and fruit.
There is also a risk of the tree now being infected with silver leaf or bacterial canker infections due to having been pruned at the wrong time.
I would give it a good feed immediately and keep it well watered this year and see if it is any better next year.
