dead rhus- living juviniles

rhus

By Rhus

United Kingdom

my 20yr plus rhus sprang to life in spring leaves grew 6 inches or so then wilted, I did not worry as the surrounding juviniles were all healthy. I noticed tho it had not revived and it is now very dead and brittle. the juviniles will take its place as over 6ft themselves, but unsure what killed it, could it affect the younger ones if not treated

On plant Rhus

This happens a lot with Rhus - we've got one here and its moved 6 feet away from where it was originally planted because the first one has died. Not sure why it does it though, maybe someone else knows.
