What are the growths on my camilla bush that look like seed pods about the size of a quarter?

The bush had loads of beautiful flowers this year. I am just not sure of whether these are seed pods or some type of disease

I'm pretty sure they are seed pods. I worked in an hotel which had a really old camelia tree and it had seed pods every year.

If the pods are where the flowers were, then they're seed pods. the only other thing is Camellia gall, but that usually occurs as a single large lump on a woody branch, rather than where flowers have been.
