i have this growing up the side of my house, beautiful deep pink flower that look velvety but feel like those on a petunia, the petals are like "lips" with long stamen? inside where the pollen is
hairless with many lanceolate leaves growing all around the main stem
I thought it may have been the spring pea but wrong time of year and the leaves differ

So is it more of a shrub that happens to be growing against a wall? Height? Evergreen?

its grown up in between a wall and a pavement, about 10cms high, not sure about the evergreen the stem is quite woody lowest to the ground and as it goes up its green.

It looks for all the world like an antirrhinum to me, but 100mm is a bit tall, they're usually between 25 and 50 mm max.

Except I have trouble with measurements - I still think in feet and inches! I think you're telling me its over 3 feet? Which is a bit tall for an antirrhinum, though there are ones that get to 3 feet.

the leaves look wrong for snap dragons on this shot though.

Yep....snapdragon......I have some very tall ones this year and the flowers have lasted months, the same thin pointed leaf too.

Can you put another pic from further away, so we can see the whole plant, if poss, plus a shot of the leaves, in your gallery? Cos I'll want to see the flowers again as well, I expect! Does it twine or is it clinging by petioles, like clematis? Reminds me of antirrhinum flowers...
