That darn pencil

Every time I answer a question the "edit comment" pencil comes up and I am not sure how to get rid of it. It probably disappears of it's own accord but I would like to know if I should be doing something if I don't want to edit it!!

I've sometimes posted a comment then gone and checked more thoroughly on the plant/whatever and realised I'd made a mistake or not been as clear as I could have been. Being able to go back and edit my post means I don't have to write a whole new one :-)

I've logged off site and later returned and the pencil was gone. So maybe it disapears when you log out!?

I'm pretty sure it stays, but as I said, only for an hour. I remember when Peter and Ajay set it up.
Before they did, any 'typos' just had to stay!

Thank you all, I shall now ignore it until it magically disappears!!

Right now I am so glad of that pencil... I answered a question and wrote about a completely different plant! Thankfully I realised and was able to go and change - otherwise you'd all have been able to say that Moon grower has finally lost the plot :-)

I don't think it's meant to be removed Cammomile.
