I've been told that you really shouldn't feed plants at this time of year as it will encourage soft new growth which will be hit by frost.

Well spring flowering bulbs aren't actually growing at the moment Mad which is why there is no purpose in feeding them.

I was referring to Mobee saying about using the feed on other plants.
Would you actually feed bulbs Moon grower? I thought they contained all the food they need. I do bow to your obvious horticultural knowledge which does come over in your answers.

Yes we feed our bulbs with tomato feed - not the ones in the garden but the ones in pots in the greenhouse to ensure they flower well the following year. I didn't think Mobee was wanting to feed other plants now but I agree not a good time really.
