I am looking at planting this in my garden in memory of my cat 'alice', but I am not a keen gardener and wondered if this was an easy plant to grow. I would hate it to die!!

I'm almost certain this will not survive outdoors in winter, the one I had in my open porch didn't. For this purpose you really need something that you can be sure is hardy otherwise it will cause you even more sadness.

This is a tropical climber, Kalin and needs a minimum temperature of 7-10 degrees centigrade so not good for your garden. Perhaps you'd better think of something else.

I would agree with Lily this is a tropical plant and will not survive outdoors overwinter.

Are you looking for plants called 'Alice' in memory of your cat Kalin? If so Penstemon 'Alice Hindley' pretty pink and there's a rose called 'Miss Alice' very pretty pink.

If you particularly want a climber, have a look at Trachleospermum jasminoides - fragrant flowers, evergreen, hardy, well behaved.
