How to plant a rhubarb root in a container

Retrev Mad is right it will need a VERY large container and regular feeding. Is there no way you can plant in the ground? If you do grow in a container you are going to have to keep lifting and dividing as it gets bigger which will not be good for the stool and will lead to poor grow and thus less rhubarb to eat

It will want a pretty large container about 2ft or more wide and about the same depth filled with very rich soil mixed with well-rotted manure. Also some sun. I've never actually grown it in a container, but I can't see why not. You mustn't pull any in the first year.
