yes i agree mg. cut it down as hard as ypu like, they are pretty tough.

Is it different in the north, then? I usually take mine back by about a third as soon as the flowers finish, to avoid wind-rock, then prune hard in the spring!!

I'm not sure obout this but is Mallow the one that only last about four years? I also cut mine down to a third but take cuttings after a few years. I have had them die on me when they get big.

Don't think it is different in the north Spritz - just checked and it says spring. Mind you if your plant is thriving keep cutting it when you do :-)

Yes, I will - it can get very windy here! I've had 'branches' breaking off at the base in the past!
