Any ideas for small (20cm?) pretty tulips?

Hello everyone!
I am having diffuculty finding small (20cm?) tulips.
I usually manage to get the green/red striped leafed type; just cannot get them this year.
They are so pretty; usually, yellow/red stripe or red/white stripe blooms.
Does anyone have an alternative 20cm tulip that they know about & where can I purchase them?

Thanks louise;
I will look them up on the internet!
If I can't find any other small tulips, I will have to plant out (in my containers), last years ones!
Many thanks for your quick response!
Rozz.

We got a fair number of dwarf tulips from Bridgemere Garden Centre in Nantwich, but have seen a fair selection of them from Taylors Bulbs who are stocked by most Garden Centres, it seems to me. Trouble is it is a bit late now to be ordering online from the usual bulb suppliers.

plenty of small ones in my local garden centres (I got some more as I planted mine way too early) and Gardeners world last night said they werent planting their tulips yet. so you are still ok.

but i leave mine in the ground so why is it too early? this really does 'confuse' me as the plants dont read the books.

This baffles me SBG but it must be when you first plant them I accidentlly dug up 1 (planted in september) and it was soft/mushy.

I plant new tulip bulbs as soon as possible and don't understand this late planting stuff. I raise them from seed in pots which I empty when the foliage had died down and if there are flowering sized bulbs present they will get replanted in the garden as early as July/August. If I buy from an external grower I plant as soon as I receive them.

Hello Rozz :-)
I like miniature Tulips too and the garden centre i go to has loads of them.
It's a Hilliers garden centre so it might be worth ringing one close to you and seeing if they have any left.
