Don't you just love Tulips?

I like to fill pots with Tulips for the spring so I can look out of our sitting room window and enjoy them.

Really lovely aren’t they Linda...have you been to Keukenhof? Its quite something. I’ve been twice, but would go again. Tulips are like jewels in the garden. And at the botanic garden in Amsterdam they have a nice collection of species Tulips...although they aren’t en masse...just in pots. But fascinating.

I love tulips too, either in the ground or in pots.

Beautiful photos - tulips seem to enjoy being photographed too. Still waiting for ours to open up a little more and show their true colours. We seem a tad behind with our garden compared to everyone else on here, which is why I haven't blogged for a while.
The birds are having a very busy time though with nest building in full flow. Collar doves and Mrs Blackbird being the busiest - lovely to watch while waiting for more colour to come, which it will, I'm sure.

Being a Dutch girl I just love tulips! Hardly surprising! My wedding bouquet was a small bouquet of white tulips. I planted tulips in my blue ceramic pots last autumn and forgot to label them and now they are about to burst into flower and the colours are amazing! Not done too badly even if I say so myself!! Once the sun comes out and they have opened I will add some pictures.

I, too, love Tulips! Mine have finished for this year but next year I must get some later flowering ones for the balcony.
Our local council have gone all out this year planting 1,000s bulbs all around town! There is a flowerbed in the gardens of our block of flats where they planted 100s of Tulips last year - when they flowered they were exactly the same as the ones I'd planted on the balcony!
This year we have 100s of lovely Daffodils in the same bed! They even put in a lot of purple & white striped Crocuses!

Beautiful rich colours here.
This year I have chosen too many raggedy shaped tulips if you know what I mean and I am not as pleased with them. Next year I will return to the more elegant pointed ones like yours.

Well you can add some more "traditionally" shaped ones for next year. :)
