Chilean guava

Alameda/California, United States

I must move a 10 year old Chilean guava - What are my best chances for success... Can I dig it in January and treat it like a bare root ( with as much soil as I can manage to take). The plant is about 4 feet tall.

On plant Ugni molinae

Yes, I think you should be able to move it easily at that size. Just take as you say a good root ball. My parents have one that has stayed outside for several years here in NE England. It's grown lots but not really fruited yet. Supposed to be great for flavouring ice cream....can't wait!

How do I say thanks?
