Hi all been busy the last 3 weeks opening a new hotel and its like loosing a limb not being able to visit here a much a i like. Have a quick question has anyone who has planted spring bulbs in the last 3-4 weeks seen a growth spurt. I planted mine about 4-5 weeks ago and some are coming thru is it because of the mild weather we are having and will this harm their growth in spring??

no not plastic that will swet them and they will rot, cover in what you have them planted in or if they have grown to big you must check them by puting them out side unless there is frost

i regularly see top growth of muscari, and daffs about now. its nothing to worry about. the cooler weather will slow down their growth. they may flower slightly earlier but \i'd leave them alone.

I agree with SBG we have trillium noses that sit right through the winter with no problem.

Me too :) My daffs are showing through now, and yesterday I noticed outdoor hyacinths coming up...they'll be fine....

Yes, I have got some Anemone Bordeaux starting to appear. I did put them in pots because I didn't have enough time to put them in the garden. There are other heads poking through in the garden too.
