Why hasn't my iris' bloomed in over two years? I split the plants and ever since, I have not had any flowers

They like to have their rhizomes baked by the sun, so Trees is right. Also, don't plant too much around them or the other plants will cast shade on their base.

I believe Iris only like to be buried sort of level with the soil, almost so that half of the corm/root is still showing above the soils.
