Last Autumn I divided my Stokes Aster, which had flowered for weeks with huge dark purple blooms. I replanted one in the same area and put one in the front garden. Both divisions produced just one flower this summer any ideas why? :-((((

The disturbance may have made them sulk. They should recover next year and then bulk up again. Feed them in spring as they start to grow.

I moved some stokesias a couple of years ago and this year, they were the best they have ever been. I think they just take a little time to settle after being moved (as has already been suggested)

You were all right, my Stokesias are covered in buds this year. Just needed a little patience.
Thanks
