I've been using Priorswood Clematis Feed for the last few years Scotkat. Its recommended by Priorswood Clematis Nursery and sold in my local garden centres. I definitely get more flowers since using it.

I just give them some concentrated chicken poo plus a spade full of garden compost to mulch the roots

seems like everyone has their own favourite clematis feed! I usually stick to anything in the garden centre that says on the label its for clematis though.

I was looking this up yesterday. Taylors Clematis recommend high potash feed (tomato feed) Kath. They also recommend not to feed during flowering.

Got plenty tomatoe feed as this gets used fro my fuchsias Angie.
