I just received a Polygonum odoratum (persicaria o.). It is described like a mint i.e. fast growing. I am concerned it may be invasive particularly here in South Florida. Appreciate input.

I cannot find any records of this being regarded as an invasive species in America. However, if you are concerned, then treat it like Mint and grow it in a large container, buried in the garden to stop its roots from spreading.

Thanks for the comment! I had thought of treating it as a mint, which was how it was described on one website. Most anything can get out of hand in the warm, moist south Florida climat.

How do I say thanks?
