That is the Family, Owdboggy, the Genus is Dicentra.

the naming of living organisms is the Genus as the first name, always with a capital letter. eg Dicentra. The second name is the species name, with a lower case letter eg spectabilis.

Perhaps the question should have been, 'What is the family for Dicentra spectabilis' ?

Who knows, Bluespruce.

sixthformers would be given the name of an organism in an exam question and be asked to name the genus. testing their understanding of the way organisms are named.

Pardon me for assuming that the person asking did not know the difference between Genus and Family, as we all seem to do. I was just trying to help. Let's face it, the majority of people get mixed up twixt Family and Genus.
