I was given a bay tree in a pot it has a white spot on the leaves both sides can you tell me how to get rid of it and what bug is eating the leaves and how to get rid of it no pesticidesplease

Sounds like either mealybug or mildew or some kind - and I have no idea if there is anything that will get rid of it without the use of pesticides, sorry.
