Hello, I planted nine laurel bushes 1 metre high two years ago, last year, three of them died. all were in a row for hedging.(the rest are fine) any idea why and should I replace. Thank you.

Thank you, the garden does get waterlogged at one end, and I did think that could be the problem. but one of the
laurels survived near the end!!
I don't know if any other plants died as there were no plants whatsoever in the garden apart from grass, when I moved in 2 years ago. (its the front garden).

could be coincidence. or are they in shallower soil, in a wind tunnel, drier bit of the garden?
Have other plants died in this bit of garden before?
