Thinking of buying a Phyllotachys Aureocaulis "Vivax"
has any one had any experience with one!!

I have not grown this myself, but I can tell you that it is a fairly tall, clump forming variety, [height 3-6 metres, with indefinite spread] and is completely hardy, can be grown in full sun or partial shade, plant it in a humous rich moist but well drained soil, or if you grow in a container, use john innes number 3 compost, Derek.
