Something is removing the heads of my tulips before they are opening. They are planted in the garden. The ones in the pots are fine.Help please

pigeons can do this too. also kids swishing at them with a twig. [my eldest did it one year as she had seen her dad slashing at nettles to cut them down. she only did it the once!!]

the leaves and stems are intact in the ground. The heads have been nibbled clean off. We have no children to blame. It is so frustrating

My neighbour opened her garden one year and was keen to show off her display of white and (almost) black tulips. The morning came and she had stalks. Deer were the culprits. She did have loads of visitors in just to um . . sympathise, or laugh. Deer love tulip flowers, as well as most other flowers.

I have ants cutting through stems. I took photos yesterday, when I get a few mins I will post the pictures. pesky things.

Just a thought....is it squirells? They do enjoy the tulip bulb.
