Then click on the 'Plantfinder', and type in Rosa Dorothy or just 'Dorothy', you'll get a list. There is a rose called 'Dorothy Perkins' which is a climber. That might not be suitable for your purpose.

I do hope you find a lovely one to plant for your mother.

or as a last resort , there are places on the net that will sell you some seeds and register the name you want to give the resulting rose with the RHS about ninteen pounds .but I canot recomend as I have had no dealings with them .

The foliage is very dark, which sets off the flowers well, and the individual flower stems are unusually pale.

Sorry to hear about your sad loss did you get a rose sorted out? They is a rose called Dorothy House that was been named after a hospice for people with life threatening illnesses to help raise money for them do a Google search and you should find a supplier also look at Dorothy House and you will see for yourself

Hi Dwarf. I really hope you found the rose you were looking for. It was only through Googling for the same thing that I came across this and saw your question!

My mom's name was Dorothy Rose and she passed away recently, and so I am looking for the same thing to put with a plaque at the Home she stayed in for the last 3 years of her life.

I have found one I think but its quite expensive. So if anyone knows of any more ....... Vonnie x
