Hi many thanks i think it is a hawthorn. husband says it is white blossom. close up of leaves attached.
Thank you. Just looked up pyracantha and does look right. I didnt realise they grew so big bit see now they can reach 20ft tall. Thanks for info. I can look up how best to care for it now and when to cut back etc....

Yep, I'd agree, pyracantha. The dark stem gives it away

pyracantha fits for the leaf and the flowers. hawthorn leaves are deeply lobed/cut.
