I have just bought two flamboyant trees for my garden in the Canary Islands & am anxious to know how much water they need. They are obviously tiny at the moment, do they need more watering when they're little & how much in summer & winter months. I think they need less water in the winter, is this right. Would appreciate help. Thank you

The latin name of the flamboyant tree is Delonix Regia, it is part of the Fabaceae family

If you put delonix in the white search box top right it will take you to all the mentions on Goy

Many thanks both of you. Yes, it is a very stunning tree & draught & salt toleration here in the Canaries has got to be a good thing! It doesn't rain much here so need to get the watering system just right - here's hoping
