RE: LILACS(syringa vulgaris)
I have a 6ft+ lilac in a corner of my garden. I didn't notice it until it started to flower(I think it didn't flower until it got above the hedge and into some sunlight). The place where it is, is the shadiest place of my garden, so I have taken a smaller piece of the plant(with a bit of route) and tried to start it off in a pot.
QUESTION: Will this work, and what tips can you give me for the best outcome?

Keep it in a shady area out of direct sun.....if you have a greenhouse a shady spot there would help, keep moist but not wet.....and don't be too impatient, it could take time, but having a bit of root should help
