I planted some sweet pea seeds which are growing nicely but one has no colour at all in the leaves or the stem, its just white. Is this common as I have never come across it before and will the plant continue to grow and flower?

It sounds like it's an albino seedling--not super rare, but not common, either. Usually, albino plants can only continue to grow and flower if they are grafted onto their normal green brothers, but with Sweet Peas. grafts are highly unlikely to take. Since it doesn't have the green pigment chlorophyll, which makes food for the plant from sunlight, the seedling will die when the food that was stored in the seed is used up.
