When you say weedkiller doesn't work, have you tried verdone liquid lawn weedkiller? Otherwise, a photo might be useful

Any chance of a photo. I hope Bamboo is correct about Verdone as that's what I would have suggested. Try not to scalp your lawn a put it under too much stress, especially if your garden is very dry like mine. Good luck.

what is the leaf like of this creeping weed. I wonder if it is a trefoil like black medic. Cant tell from your photo though.
