I've got loads of small caterpillar eating the leaves of my geranium. Will they attack the flowers and shall I attempt to pick them off? Thank you
PS I apologies if this picture is the wrong way. It's been brought to my attention that it could be because I'm using an iPhone .

Yes Caterpillars will eat the flowers. You can put white paper down and take them off by hand or use an insecticide to kill them. I have the same problem - lots of moth caterpillars this year! Collected 60 in one day.

I think they look quite pretty after the caterpillars have had a go - like one of those posh plants with specialised leaves. Just leave them and they will go through their cycle and become food for the bats!

I get your point Honeysuckle but sometimes there are too many plant eating insects and you need to control them. I just removed thousands of Lupin greenfly from my Lupins. Nothing eats those and they are such messy things.

How do I say thanks?
