Can anyone tell me what these are ? They appeared just behind my bird table where I feed the birds with sunflower seeds Could they be sunflowers If not what are they ?

I should that's what they are, what sort, whether the tall ones or the shorter field variety - who knows? You could transplant a few and have some seed for the birds later hopefully - they love the heads of the sunflowers to pick over.
