Can anyone tell me why these Foxgloves growing in a neighbours garden have flowers all around the stems while mine have them only on one side. Are they just a different type ?
The last pic is of mine.

I think its normal. Some of mine have multi flower branches - if that is the word - others just one tall spikey point.

Hi Nanjo, plant breeders nowadays produce Foxgloves that flower all round the stem, but when they produce seed, {and once you have them you will never be without}, they revert back to the wild variety, which only flower on 1 side of the stem, so your neighbours are new plants, whilst yours are probably self seeded from plants you may have bought, or seed you may have bought in previous years, Derek.

Thanks for your answers Cammomile and Derek, mine are self seeded and I've had them for years. I had never seen any with flowers around the whole stem before.Mystery solved !
