Hello can you please tell me how many times a year i hoe in dried fertalizer pellets to my border. When are the months i do this and do i have to add anything else to the soil during the year, i only grow flowers. Thank you.

If you do want to do it, early spring is as good a time as any. I don't bother either.

If you look after the soil, making sure it's fertile, then any other fertilizing is not necessary, Derek

I throw a handful of Growmore around all the plants in the garden in Spring, then the rain waters it all in and it does seem to get good results every year.

I have never hoed in fertilizer to my borders, only used blood and bone as I put in shrubs or occasionally put liquid feed in my pots. I only have flowers in my garden and they seem to do perfectly well without.
