"Shorter water"
My water storage tanks are empty. My neighbour has a huge tank full which he never uses and says I can have it. But it has no lid and has been in there for years and years without being cleaned out.. i'm not sure what's in there !
Should I accept his offer or fill my tanks from my outside tap to be on the safe side ?

Thanks very much B, but I'm talking veg here, I don't grow flowers. Is it o.k. For all veg ? Lettuce ? Onions etc ?

We all eat Jersey potatoes and they've been fed sewage. Doesn't seem to harm us!

Our water tank has no lid either and only gets cleaned out once in several years. There is all sorts of muck in it but it does no harm to the plants.
