How do I stop a large rampant bamboo that is growing under matting and shale and coming up in unwanted areas?
I have tried weed killer, cutting off shoots and pulling up but it still grows on and on.

I agree with Moon growe - you have to keep digging it out! I had one in my front garden that became a complete nuisance; I thought I had dug it all out and then it kept sprouting up everywhere - 2 years on and I'm still digging it out. Good luck with yours.

When we moved here we 'inherited' a bamboo that had been planted to hide the oil-tank. I realise that the tank is not the most elegant of features, but I am left with a bamboo that is springing up all over the place!
I can only hope that with time and patience the brutish thing will learn its place!
Oh, how I wish that the previous owners had put up a screen of some sort rather than the insidious bamboo.
Gardening can be a trial at times!

Dig it out and keep digging it out... in my view Bamboo is an invasive weed!
