Silly question about sweet peas but I have pods on them is it because I have not been picking them I know that I should but they look so pretty in the garden :)

And the pods are the seeds... if you are not worried about the colours for next year let them seed into the ground and grow.

I just take the pods off as soon as I see them then they carry on flowering

Absolutely. The more you pick the more flowers you get.
