Luma is the generic name for a couple of shrub species related to myrtle, with small edible fruits. Good for a sheltered site in the sun, and much smaller leaved. L. apiculata is the one most often seen

The smell is definitely citrus. "Mexican orange blossom" is the 'common name'

Yes it is citrusy goodness for sure. I like to go outside and rub some leaves on my neck before going out on the town. The girls love it and its free.

Oh yuk, I hate the smell of Choisya leaves. The blossoms are the part that smells of citrus, but the leaves, dear oh dear, I dread having to cut loads of it and then putting it in the car to take to the recycling centre, I drive there with the windows right down and breathing through my mouth, it stinks... as far as I'm concerned, but then I do have a very strong sense of smell. Put that behind your ears, funguy, and I'd be off like a bat out of hell, lol. Maybe all the women your way don't have much sense of smell...
