I'm afraid you need to clarify your question, because at the moment, its not specific enough. Pods which appear after flowering are seed pods. Pods 'on' flowers doesn't have a clear meaning, so if you're not meaning seed pods, then it might be easier to post a photograph so we at least know what flowers (on which plant) you mean.

at the back of the flower there is the ovary when the immature seeds form. the pod will swell with seeds if the flower was successfully pollinated.
